Pete Jackson
Pastor of Congregational Life
Born in Gainesville, FL, Pete spent his growing up years in both south Florida and St. Louis, MO. He went to college in Indiana, received his seminary training from Reformed Theological Seminary (Orlando), and has also completed certificate programs in pastoral counseling. Before seminary, he spent 5 years in retail management. He served as the youth pastor for two churches in Florida prior to moving to Atlanta, and has been at ChristChurch since 2001.
Pete came to know the Lord at a young age and growing up in a broken home was greatly influenced by many godly people over the years who exemplified God’s grace. He longs for people to gain a deep understanding of that grace, so they are then motivated to reach out with grace to the community around them. In addition to pastoral care, he works closely with the Diaconate, the Stephen Ministry team, Men’s Discipleship groups, and the Missions team.
Pete and his wife, Paulette, met in college and have been married since 1988. They have two grown daughters, Emma and Anna Grace. Pete enjoys all things sports, being outside (when it’s warm), the beach, C.S. Lewis, U2, and of course, Atlanta Braves baseball.
