As we enter our fourth decade, we will advance our mission by expanding our impact, deepening generational discipleship, and preparing our facilities and resources for future growth—all for the glory of Christ and the good of the city.

History

It all started in 1993

In 1993, God began to call a group of believers to plant a new church in Buckhead. This new church had a vision to be in the city, for the city, calling men and women to faith in Jesus and to seek the welfare of the city of Atlanta. Over the past thirty-two years, God has blessed this vision by growing ChristChurch Presbyterian into a gospel-centered congregation, allowing us to plant a daughter church, and providing a permanent home on Peachtree Street in the heart of the city.

Advance the Gospel

Above all else, the city of Atlanta needs the gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we have been placed here to preach the good news that Jesus has come to make all things new, starting with our hearts. Because faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ (Romans 10:17), we are prayerfully searching for our next Lead Pastor, who will build upon ChristChurch’s strong legacy of Biblically-sound, gospel-centered preaching.

Advance Generational Discipleship

ChristChurch is blessed with people of all ages, but we have an especially strong number of children and teenagers. As we seek to partner with parents to make disciples of this next generation, it is important that we steward our facilities to support these thriving ministries. The Advance Campaign will help us to meet the following needs:

Demolish the 1750 Peachtree building
Build an outdoor play space for the Woodland Children’s Ministry
Update the LOFT Student Ministry space
Provide additional parking on ChristChurch’s property

Advance Into Our Next Chapter

We believe that the Lord has called us to be a vibrant, gospel-centered, and Reformed church ministering in the heart of the city of Atlanta. As we advance in faith into this next chapter, we want to prepare to meet the opportunities and challenges ahead. The Advance Campaign will help us with this by meeting the following future needs:

Create a reserve fund for future major capital expenditures

The Advance Campaign is an initiative to raise $1.25M for ChristChurch to continue fulfilling our mission in our fourth decade. We are asking you to invest in the future of ChristChurch Presbyterian by making a financial commitment beyond your ordinary giving from now through June 2026.

Questions & Answers

The Advance Campaign will run from now through June 30, 2026.
The church is asking you to prayerfully make your commitment by Commitment Sunday on February 23. This will give us a clear idea of the total amount of committed funds and a projected schedule of when those funds will be received. This information will help the church to wisely move forward with the next phase of this project.
If you wish to make a commitment to the Advance Campaign but are unable to do so by February 23, we respectfully ask that you inform the campaign leadership team at advance@christchurchatlanta.org.

Yes, gifts to the Advance Campaign are tax-deductible.
It is our desire to begin work in the summer of 2025. The actual start date will depend on the total amount of commitments made and the timing of when funds are expected to be received.
The church’s leadership does not wish to take on any new long-term debt. The method of financing this project will be determined after Commitment Sunday on February 23, when we will know the total amount of committed funds and the projected schedule of when those funds will be received. It is possible that the Session, after obtaining the congregation’s approval, might seek short-term financing (backed by commitments) in order to begin this project faster.
You can fulfill your commitment through online giving, check, qualified charitable IRA distribution, or a donor advised fund.
Please make all gifts payable to “ChristChurch Presbyterian” with “Advance Campaign” designated in the memo field.
Yes, you can make gifts of marketable securities to the campaign. The church office will happily assist you with this process.
Elders will meet with Home Groups before Commitment Sunday on February 23 to answer your questions about the campaign. Additionally, there will be a small-group opportunity to ask questions on an upcoming Sunday morning (date forthcoming).
