The Rev. Dr. Chuck Colson

Lead Pastor Elect

A native of North Carolina, Chuck is a graduate of Furman University. After college, Chuck and his wife, Melissa, worked with a university ministry sharing the gospel with college students trying to figure out life. Being called to pastor, Chuck attended Reformed Theological Seminary—Orlando where he completed his Master of Divinity. He went on to earn his Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen where he studied the works of John Calvin on the Sabbath commandment.

Before arriving at ChristChurch, Chuck served as an assistant pastor at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN, a church planter in Arlington, VA, and the Senior Pastor of Christ Church Presbyterian in Jacksonville, FL. He also teaches regularly at Reformed Theological Seminary where he helps prepare the next generation of pastors and teachers for gospel ministry.

Chuck and Melissa have been married for twenty-five years. They have three children who fill their home with joy, conversation, and competitive board game play. Guests and friends are always welcome at the Colson dinner table.
