VISION:

We exist to glorify and enjoy God more fully and to bring others to the full enjoyment of Him

Since glorifying God is to worship Him, the ChristChurch youth ministry seeks to fulfill our vision through worship . . .

PURPOSE:

Since glorifying God is to worship Him, the ChristChurch youth ministry seeks to fulfill our vision through worship -- enjoying fellowship together as the body; growing in Christ-like maturity through discipleship; inviting others to the Savior through evangelism and responding to God's grace through ministry.

The vision and purpose statements are based on Scriptures such as:

• Vision -- Genesis 12:2; John 10:16; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 3:17; Acts 1:8
• Purpose -- Ephesians 4:15-16; 2 Timothy 2:2; 2 Corinthians 5:11; Ephesians 4:11-12

How then are we going to get there?

Sunday School (Sunday AM)

• Sr. and Jr. High

(Sunday Night from 6-8 PM in the youth Hangar)

• Fellowship/Ministry/Worship/Teaching
• Led by the youth volunteers, youth leadership team and youth director
• Youth Leadership Teams
• Outreach Events

Small Groups (Meet weekly at various locations)

• Discipleship groups -- Led by youth volunteers and youth director -- please follow links under "Youth Volunteer Team" below to join a group!

Service Projects (Monthly)

• Mercy ministry in Atlanta: The last Sunday of each month

Mission Trips (Annually)

• For ministry/evangelism

Special Events (Seasonally)

• Periodic fellowship events (movie nights, go-carting, bowling, etc) (see our calendar)
• Fostering relationships between parents and youth -- Fall and Spring Events with parents and youth
• Fall -- Reformation Party/ X-Box Party
• Winter -- Ski-Trip to Beech Mountain
• Spring -- Lock-In and retreat

CCP Distinctives

• Our authority and commitment are based on the Word of God, which is eternal (Matt. 5:18, 24:35)
• People/relationships take priority over programs (Heb. 10:24-25)
• The goal of our ministry is spiritual maturity (Col. 1:28-29)
• Our programming strives for balance and excellence, more or less (Phil. 4:8, Col. 3:17)
• We will help create a vision for the things that God can do in and through students (Prov. 16:23).
• We will be faithful over the long term, not just successful in the short term (I Tim. 2:2, Matt. 25:21)
