Vision
To provide a community for young adults, married or single, that encourages involvement in the larger body of ChristChurch, while at the same time striving to:
(a) Draw the church body into deeper fellowship;
(b) Facilitate opportunities for spiritual growth, both individually and corporately;
(c) Serve each other and our surrounding community; and
(d) Demonstrate the love of Christ to a broken and hurting world.
Means
(1) Hanging Out: The Young Adults ministry tries to coordinate at least one big event each month. In the past we’ve planned events such as cookouts, progressive tailgate parties, movie nights, holiday parties, and other similar events. We also have regular luncheons together after morning church service. We encourage you to make an effort to attend and invite newcomers to these events, as they provide a great opportunity to meet others and to just enjoy spending time together.
(2) Fellowship: We believe that fellowship means more than just hanging out and having fun, it is inviting the Holy Spirit to commune with us and growing closer to the Lord together. As the largest segment of the church body, we encourage your involvement in the various opportunities for fellowship. Currently ChristChurch has several great opportunities to fellowship together as a church body, through Sunday morning services, Sunday evening services, Wednesday evening prayer, and home groups. We urge you to consider involvement in these areas, and take advantage of the regular events mentioned below as well.
(3) Ministry: We believe that as the largest segment of the ChristChurch congregation, our participation in existing ministries is key to the success of the mission of the church. We will aim to equip and encourage Young Adults to seek involvement in church ministries already available and to discover new ways to serve our immediate community.
