We warmly welcome all students! One of our desires is to help you feel “at home” with us, even if you are only here during the school semester. Atlanta is home to over a quarter of a million students and a wonderful city in which to study. If you are new to the city and want friendship and a place to “belong”, we would love to meet you. In a normal year, we see students (undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate) from many different backgrounds and nationalities, studying diverse subjects, find a church home with us.
Our Mission
To see students become Christ-centered laborers. Many of our church’s members and leaders experienced profound life change during their defining college years, and we know that Atlanta’s college students today will become the country’s leaders tomorrow. That’s why ChristChurch partners with Campus Crusade for Christ, Reformed University Fellowship, and InterVarsity leaders in offering students great opportunities to see what it means to follow Jesus Christ while in college.
Mentorship
Are you looking for a mentor or a church family to “adopt” you? If so, please contact us for more details about what we call the Timothy Project (timothyprojectccp@gmail.com).
Learning and Questioning
If you want to learn more about the Christian faith, our college leaders are on hand to help. If you are struggling with how to be a Christian in what is, at times, an antagonistic environment, they can help and point you to others in your college or dorm At ChristChurch we deliberately foster a “questioning environment”. For Christians and non-Christians alike, this is a safe place in which to ask faith related questions without being ‘put down’. If you are wanting to be stretched in your faith, then Sunday School classes and other occasional courses are available.
Diversity
Many students worship with us at ChristChurch each year. The diversity among those who come is exciting and encouraging for us all.
- Students from around the country and the world
- Both undergrad and grad students
- Some students come from a Presbyterian church “back home”, others from a variety of backgrounds
- Many students are involved in campus ministries (Campus Crusade, Reformed University Fellowship, InterVarsity and others), but all will find a welcome home at ChristChurch for worship and fellowship.
Bringing Friends
Many college friends may never have been near a church. Here they will be assured of a welcome! Remember that the SundayNite service (on the first and third Sunday of each month, at 6:30 pm) is a good place to bring friends. For those who want to go further, please come with them to a Christianity Explored course, which runs for 8 weeks most semesters.
