Spring 2012 Classes (Started January 15)
9:15 am
- The Truth Project – Led by Eleazar Kenyon & Jason Cannon (Green Room)
Truth is not simply an academic concept. The way we think about truth has a direct bearing upon the way we live our lives. What’s more, our understanding of right and wrong is directly dependent on our worldview: is the universe God’s creation or a closed cosmic cube? This DVD-based curriculum is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life, and we believe this can be a catalyst for great change, as we are “transformed by the renewing of our minds” (Romans 12:2). All are welcome!
- It Ain’t Greek to Me! Beginner’s Greek - Led by Jared Eubanks (Room A)
We’ll be studying together the basics of the Greek language (Grammar and Vocabulary) used in the original writing of the New Testament. The class will be fun and interactive with games teaching the basics of the language. No prior knowledge of New Testament Greek is required because we’ll be starting from square one. Email Jared Eubanks at jared.eubanks@gmail.com if interested to get on the mailing list for additional details and updates.

- Studies in the Book of Judges - Led by Ken Culpepper (Offices at 1760)
Throughout Israel’s history, there was a strong human leader who represented God and ruled society on the basis of divine law. During the period of the Judges, however, the Israelites lived in a “spiritually pluralistic” society that was a mixture of pagan and believing peoples. There are many parallels between that situation and ours today. Christians in the West find themselves living in a religiously pluralistic society. Individual Christians work and live among a great variety of gods – not only those of other formal religions, but also the gods of wealth, celebrity, pleasure, ideology, achievement. Our era can also be characterized by the phrase, “every man did what was right in his own eyes” (21:25). Thus the book of Judges has much to say to the individualism and paganism of our own day. All are welcome.
- Heaven - Led by Jonathan Crabb (Green Room)
Have you ever wondered…What is Heaven really going to be like? What will we look like? What will we do every day? Won’t Heaven get boring after a while? If you’ve always thought of Heaven as a realm of disembodied spirits, clouds, and eternal harp strumming, you’re in for a wonderful surprise! God has put eternity in our hearts, and in this study we invite you to picture Heaven the way Scripture describes it – a bright, vibrant, and physical New Earth, free from sin, suffering, and death, brimming with Christ’s presence, and filled with unending beauty and adventure! All are welcome.
